#podcast #sucesstips #interview Donya Davis-Seay was born and raised in the military and married her husband, who is retired military. Married 42 years this August and she has two children, Dorée Seay and Tor-el Seay who are living their dream life! She says that she loved the fashion industry and worked in store management, retail buying, fashion show coordinator, and model runway training. I also liked being in charge or leading the vision even in elementary school! I’ve always had a passion for coordinating events and having my own businesses. At one point my sister and I had a boy’s t-shirt line that was sold in specialty shops, small department stores, and AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Services). After closing down the t-shirt line, Donya needed to re-invent herself and was on the path to self-care and development to be able to move forward and find new purpose and focus. I’ve always had strong mentors in my past and I started looking at and meeting motivational speakers: Les Brown, Lisa Nichols, Kim Coles, DeLores Pressley, and Tina Lifford. She always tried to look at things in a different perspective and what is it that she can do to make a difference for myself and those around me? She again worked retail, but started doing event coordinating (a passion she has) as a side hustle and got into music festivals where it was suggested that I look at the Cannabis/CBD industry as the next up and coming business opportunity. Doyna was fortunate to be introduced to CILI By Design in October 2019 and this company checked off all the boxes for her personally. As I was feeling defeated with my goals and made a huge decision in 2021 to retire from her retail job and work as at her event coordinating business and CILI By Design. Family and friends are so important to her and that’s a love legacy from my parents. Donya's favorite word is “Believe”. She loves helping people design their “Lifestyle Freedom”. www.stephenrsmith.org info@stephenrsmith.org
