Under her direction, the Wind Ensemble has performed at the Kennedy Center, Chicago Symphony Hall, Segerstrom Auditorium in Costa Mesa, Davies Hall in San Francisco, and will perform at Boston Symphony Hall in 2024. Leslie has also been a tireless advocate for arts education in her district, writing grants that resulted in several ongoing elementary arts programs that thousands of children continue to experience. Leslie studied Reiki with Sarah Stockham in 2021, earning her Master Level Certificate. She is a certified meditation leader and a graduate of the “Live Your Vision'' spiritual life-coaching program. She is currently working on her sound therapy certification through the International Sound Therapy Association. Leslie’s own challenges with Hashimoto’s, her husband’s cancer journey, and relational challenges were a catalyst for her desire to help other women make emotional and spiritual shifts and she created a new business. BIO Dr. Darin Detwiler is a well-respected educator, food safety academic, advisor, advocate, and author. For nearly 30 years, he has played a unique role in controlling foodborne illness. Today, Detwiler is a Professor of food policy and corporate social responsibility at Northeastern University, in Boston, where his students have gone on to leadership positions in industry and in state and federal agencies.
